If you are concerned about being overweight call us on 0113 2448866. We will ask you a number of short questions including your weight, height and waist measurement. We will then be able to quickly calculate your body mass index (BMI) and tell you the result over the telephone.
We will also ask you whether you suffer from any of the following:
- diabetes
- high blood pressure
- a high cholesterol
- heart disease
- arthritis of the hips or knees
- indigestion or heartburn
If you are unsure about any of the above, do not worry as the doctor can check these areas if you make an appointment.
If your BMI is above 27 you will be eligible for an appointment to discuss prescription medicines.
The telephone call takes approximately 3 minutes.
Lower BMI?
If your BMI is lower than 27 you will not be able to receive the prescription drugs. You will however be able to receive advice on diet, take away diet advice etc and will be able to purchase a range of supplements, meal replacements and other products to help you achieve a thinner you.
